Hey everyone! I’m Tyler Matthews coming to you from the Northern Lights! Did you get outside last weekend to see this cool phenomenon? Who would have thought that northeast Ohio would be home to 2 once in a lifetime celestial event, just a month apart from each other? Pretty cool! With that, let’s get into this week's news.
The council-wide pinewood derby and Swings N’ Things overnight event is happening on Saturday, June 8th. The price is $25 and the first 100 scouts to register get a patch to commemorate the event. In addition to the pinewood derby, campers will get access to Go-karts, batting cages, mini golf, and the arcade. register now, and you can contact Julia Hearne with any questions.
Mobile rock wall training is happening on May 28th at the unit service center from 6:00-9:00 pm. This training is open to first-timers and for those who need their annual renewal on rock wall training. Register and send any questions to Mike Zeber.
We are rescheduling the Scouting Influencer BBQ to June 13th at 6:00 pm, here at the unit service center. If you are interested in learning what you can do to help to grow scouting, you can register now and send your questions to Michelle.
S’more camps are coming up! Registration is open for all 4 fun-filled weekends! June 21st-24th and July 19th-22nd are the two weekends for S’more Cub adventures, July 12th-15th is S’more Webelo adventures and August 2nd-5th is S’more Scout adventures. Stay mentally awake this summer and become a Scouting Summer Scholar! Scouts can stay engaged academically throughout the summer by going to “Scout School at Home” where learning is always fun and hands-on! To encourage scouts to stay on their toes with all the changes in schools this year, we have developed a fun and engaging way to keep Scouts learning all summer long.
