Who are you and where are you from?

I'm Laurie Bott, and I’m from Perry, Ohio

What is your Scouting history?

I grew up a Scoutmaster's daughter. Became a tiger leader in 2010 for my sons. Moved on to Pack  Committee Chair. Joined District Committee in 2016 as District Popcorn Kernel and an Unit Commissioner.  After the council merge I became the Cub Scout Division Unit Funding Specialist. Also, was Program Director at Camp Stigwandish Adventure Camp for the last 2 years.   My brother and my eldest son are both Eagle Scouts. My daughter will be crossing to a Scouts BSA Girl Troop in February.

Why do you love camp and what are you most looking forward to this summer?

I LOVE Camp! I spent many summers at Camp Stigwandish with my dad and brother.  This year will be my 11th year attending Day Camp! In 2009, I became a den walker with my sons. When they crossed to the troop I joined Day Camp staff. I was the "Craft Lady" for two years and then Program Director for two years.  Camp is amazing!  This year I am totally excited for our new program and the addition of Overnight Camp!

What’s your favorite color?

Oh picking just one is hard.  Can I do two?  Cerulean and Purple.

This summer’s theme is superheroes. Do you have one you really like?

I would have to say Wonder Woman. I use to watch the episodes on tv with Linda Carter. They were my favorite.

If you could have a super power, what would it be?

I’m torn between Telekinesis and Teleportation. Both would be awesome.  However, cloning myself would be cool too. Just think how many more Scouting events I could do!!

You’ll see much more of Laurie and her team by attending Adventure Camp at Home this summer!
