Who are you, and where are you from?

Hey y'all! I'm Alex Coker and I'm from the small village of Wellington, Ohio.

What’s your Scouting history? Do you have family in Scouting?

I have been involved with scouting since I was around the age of 3, as my older brother was very active since he was a Tiger. Both he and I are Eagle Scouts out of Troop 414. Throughout the years, I've worked with the Scouts extensively through summer camp, I've been to Florida Sea Base, numerous camps throughout the country, and I've even seen scouting throughout the world. Two years ago I got to go to Brownsea Island and Gilwell Park in London, UK to witness where it all began!

Why do you love camp and what are you most looking forward to this summer?

I love camp because I love the connection I get to have with units and families, seeing them learn new skills and partake in something larger than themselves.

Favorite food?

I don't have a favorite food, but I love to travel and eat all types of food. I do love black olives though!

Do you have a favorite super hero?

From day one, it's been Spider-Man!

Who is your least favorite villain?

I'm a huge comic book enthusiast, so I love the villains as much as the heroes, but I would say that the Rhino or Mysterio are my least favorites because they're huge phonies that have corny storylines and always get beat with one punch.

You can catch Alex this summer at both Adventure Camp at Home and Family Camp Weekends at Firelands!
