New Youth Protection Policies

The Boy Scouts of America announced that youth participants will no longer be allowed to tent with parents in the Scouts, BSA (Boy Scouts), Sea Scouts, or Venturing programs.

The new youth protection standards state that youth are not permitted to stay with his/her parents unless they are in the Cub Scouts program.

Additionally, youth participants must only tent with others who are within two years of age (under the age of 18).
