3-Minute Update - June 13, 2024

Hey everyone! I’m Tyler Matthews coming to you from the Auto Rama drive-in movie theater here in North Ridgeville. I don’t know about you, but I LOVE the drive-in theater in the summer, but did you know there are less than 300 left in the USA? I sure am glad we have one right here!  With that, let’s get into this week’s news.

Are you looking for a summer Job? Do you want to spend your summer out at camp? Well then look no further than Beaumont Scout Reservation. Open positions include Kitchen, Lifeguards, and maintenance. Apply now at lecbsa.org/camp-staff or contact Joe, Dan, or Anthony!

First up is a Leave No Trace Level I Instructor course, open to registered members 18 or older. This course is ideal for people who would like to teach Leave No Trace to others, in the unit or the community. Registration is limited to 12 attendees.

Second is a Leave No Trace Recreational Skills course. It provides practical knowledge units that can be used on high-adventure treks, backpacking trips, or even in Cub Scout outdoor programs. This course is open to youth members ages 14-17 in addition to adults 18 or older. It also fulfills the requirement for the National Medal for Outdoor Achievement, part of the National Outdoor Awards program. Registration for this course is limited to 24 attendees.

Navigate your way to the council calendar for more information and to register. Send your questions to Joe.

That’s it for this week, and I think my movie is about to start so until next time. Stay prepared, stay adventurous, and keep the spirit of Scouting alive!
