My name is Julie Oswald.  I am originally from Buffalo, NY and now reside in Mentor, OH.

What is your Scouting history?

I was involved in scouting through the Salvation Army as a child.  I started as a Sunbeam and then moved on to be a Girl Guard.  I went to Sleepaway Camp every year for a week.  It was some of the best times of my childhood.
I am currently a committee member of Pack 3306 out of St. John Vinney in Mentor. I also serve as their Popcorn Kernel. Starting March 26th, I will also be the Scoutmaster for Troop 306.  I am also a Super NOVA Mentor. This means I can guide scouts through NOVA and Super NOVA activities.

What are you looking forward to the most at camp this summer?

I am really looking forward to working with all the Cubs at camp exploring NOVA activities. NOVA awards are all based on STEM. We will be exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! We will discuss these ideas and do fun experiments.

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is green.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is sushi.

This summer's theme is superheroes. Do you have a favorite one?

My favorite superhero is the same as my least favorite supervillain, Loki. He does what is best for him, and sometimes it helps other people.

If you could have a super power what would it be?

I already have a superpower!  I can make Vitamin D without the sun! But if I could have another superpower it would be to always know the best solution to any problem.

You can catch Julie this summer at Adventure Camp at Beaumont!
