Choosing a Site that is Right for You
When making your site selection, several factors must be considered. If you plan to dine with the camp in the dining hall, we recommend that you choose a site in Camp McIntosh or Camp Broadbent. This will place you within an easy walk of the dining hall and assure your troop arrives in a timely fashion for all meals. If your troop is just starting, you may wish to choose one of our troop lodges in Camp McIntosh, which include bunks with mattresses, an indoor dining area, and a complete kitchen.
You may also choose to eat in our dining hall while staying in a troop lodge. A patrol cooking troop may choose to camp in either Camp Broadbent or Camp McCahill. If you choose to stay in a platform tent site with 7’ x 8’ wall tents that include two cots per tent, choose one of the sites designated on the registration sheet. Beaumont has an accessible ramp on Troop Lodge 1 and can make that available to any unit needing it on a first come, first served basis. Hammock camping is available at Tulip Grove Campsite for up to 12.
Platform Tent Sites can sleep a total of 28 people in a total of 14 plateform tents. Sites with Platform Tents are Big Maple, Cookie’s Cove, Hemlock Grove, Poplar, Rodgers Ridge, Valley View, White Oak, Twin Ash & Wolff. BSR will not provide additional tents for troops needing additional beds.
The Lake Erie Council believes that no Scout should be denied access to great program due to financial need, and is pleased to offer camperships to all Lake Erie Council units. To apply and find out more, visit https://lecbsa.org/camperships.

THE RESERVATION PROCESS FOR 2024
Pre-Registration Period (August 2023 to January 31, 2024) — For Units that register during this period a $200 deposit and an estimate of Youth & Adult attendance is required. This $200 deposit is put toward your final camp balance.

Any unit may make a registration for any available session of Scouts BSA Resident Summer Camp. No fee per participant reserved will be due at that time, but the Unit is now financially responsible for the number of participants requested. It is easier
Individual names do not have to be specified at this time but can be if the Unit chooses to do so.
Units may add new participants (if space is available) or reduce the number of existing participants (subject to the LEC Payment & Refund Policy) until the end of the Registration Period (May 31). Reducing your number of participants needs to be done by an LEC employee. Please call us at (216) 331-4608. Units may make changes to existing participants until midnight on the Friday before their arrival at camp.
Estimate Confirmation (November 1 to January 31, 2024) — Units that made their reservation during the Pre-Registration period are required to confirm their estimated numbers (based on camp availability) and the Unit will be financially responsible for each confirmed participant.
